I don't use superlatives like 'museum quality' often but this outstanding large formation of hematite is truly just that. A true crystal classic from an iconic and historic location, in Egremont, Cumbria.
The specimen is just as it was found and has not been polished as some often are, having the classic red iron staining covering what is essentially 3 large conjoined botryoidal masses.
Hematite from this location doesn't get much better and this would be a fine addition to any mineral collection.
The Specimen size is 18.5cm long, 11.5cm wide.
The Specimen weight is 2670 Grams, 2.67 kg.
